Day 1 : Upon arrival at the airport in Quito , one hour before your departure time, and you will be met by a representative from La Selva Jungle Lodge for your check-in. The representative will hand in your boarding passes, check your suitcases and will give you all the assistance you may require.

The private airline that is used for your roundtrip flight to Coca is ICARO, and this short flight from Quito takes just 25 minutes.

After your arrival to Coca you will have a 15 minute transfer in a Chiva (open bus) from the airport to La Selvas private dock. A motorized canoe will be waiting for you, and other arriving La Selva guests, to take you down the River Napo (2 ½ hours). During the ride downriver a box lunch prepared that morning will be available for each guest.

Once you arrive to the La Selva dock, the staff will help you carry your luggage (carry-on’s, as well as camera gear, will be your responsibility). A complementary welcome cocktail greets you in the bar along with the La Selva naturalist guides.

After you check-in to your room and unpack your bags, your first guided excursion will be organized. Be ready to choose from one of the innumerable possibilities that are offered by the naturalist guides of La Selva Junge Lodge. For the complete list of choices please click here .

There are also night excursions available: caiman hunt, search for owls, frogs, insect excursions, to guests that are interested each night. All the excursions are organized each day with your guide and group. Meal schedules may be slightly altered to accommodate excursions. Dinner. Overnight at lodge.

Day 2:  An early wake up call at 6:00 am, and breakfast will be served at 6:30 am. Departure for your morning excursion will be around 7:10 am. Upon your return to the lodge lunch will be served, at 1:00 pm, approximately. After lunch you will have the afternoon free for your leisure. At 4:00 pm you will gather for departure on your next guided excursion. Dinner will be served at 7:00 pm. Once dinner is finished you will have the option of a night excursion. Overnight at lodge.

Day 3: An early wake up call at 6:00 am, and breakfast will be served at 6:30 am. Departure for your morning excursion will be around 7:10 am. Upon your return to the lodge lunch will be served, at 1:00 pm, approximately. You will have leisure time until 4:00 pm until your departure to the next adventure, or you can enjoy an optional activity of: fishing, canoeing, going to the observation tower or simply relaxing. Dinner will served at 7:00 pm. After dinner you have the option of a guided night excursion. Overnight at lodge.

Day 4: Last day: Early wake up to catch the flight back to Quito . Arrival to Quito around noon time.
