The excursion departs from Santiago to the Pacific coast. Arrival at the port of San Antonio with a visit to the market if time permits. The tour continues towards Cartagena, a former famous beach resort at the turn of the XX century, and then to Isla Negra, to visit the poet Pablo Neruda’s House, (Literature Nobel Prize in 1971). This house has been turned into a museum, displaying collections of colored
bottles, miniature vessels, fine glassware, seashells, and the manuscripts of the poet. The house with its outstanding ocean view was a permanent source of inspiration for Neruda literary works. Enjoy a pleasant lunch (not included) in one of the restaurants of the town. Return to Santiago passing by the summer beach resort of Algarrobo.
